Jimi Wanjigi showers UDA’s Cate Waruguru with praises
Businessman and presidential hopeful Jimi Wanjigi has showered praises on United Democratic Alliance (UDA) allied MP Cate Waruguru.
Taking to his Social Media pages on Thursday, December 2, Wanjigi described Waruguru as an enthusiastic leader that the future of Kenya depends on.
"The future Kenyan leaders are full of enthusiasm and pride when it comes to public service. Cate Waruguru is one such leader. This is the type of energetic leadership Kenya needs," Wanjigi said.
Wanjigi's statement comes just days after Deputy President William Ruto received the Laikipia Woman Representative to UDA.
"Welcome back home," Ruto tweeted after he received Waruguru at his official residence in Karen in the company of Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, MPs Aisha Jumwa, Gathoni wa Muchomba, Didmas Barasa and Governor Anne Waiguru.
“Purpose leads a true leader and a true leader leads others. @WilliamsRuto mpango ni bottom up. Form ni Hustler Nation. Chama ni UDA. #MamaNiSimba #KaziniKazi #HustlerNation,” Waruguru said.
The legislator further said that the handshake between Raila and Pesident Uhuru Kenyatta was designed to block Ruto from the presidency.
Waruguru argued that the Building Bridges Initiative was used as a disguise of inclusivity while its real intentions remained hidden.
“I believe its (BBI's) failure lies squarely on the two senior principals and their legal advisers. From where I sit now, it is clear the handshake was cover to give Raila an entry as somebody’s project for 2022,” Waruguru told a local publication.
The legislator further argued that BBI did not meet the required standard when it came to revenue allocation arguing that the people of Mt Kenya received a raw deal.
“I am on record saying BBI is now behind us and we must forge ahead as a country. I do not regret that it failed; rather, as a Kenyan it provided an opportunity for the growth of our democracy,” Waruguru said.
