Rift governors split over Ruto, Gideon Moi
Two governors from the Rift Valley almost came to blows after a strategic meeting they had convened turned chaotic following differences over the choice of a presidential candidate for 2022 polls.
The two governors had reportedly convened a meeting of their key henchmen and other politicians from the region to discuss the ongoing political upheaval in Jubilee Party.
The two, however, disagreed on who to support between Deputy President William Ruto and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, both who have declared interest in the top seat.

A Nominated Jubilee Senator who appeared before the party’s disciplinary committee for failing to attend a meeting convened by President Uhuru Kenyatta recently seems to have seen the light and now claims to owe her allegiance to an opposition figure who she
previously could not see eye to eye with. The desperate senator was recently seen at the offices of the opposition politician, seeking his intervention to avoid being expelled from Parliament by her party.
Corrupt adviser lands governor into trouble
The governor of a county in Central Kenya is on the radar of an investigative agency over the activities of one of his political advisers.
The adviser who is already facing investigations over his involvement in a pyramid schemelike scam, is said to have been using forged papers from the governor’s office to award contracts to his friends and family.
Interestingly, the advisor was also an aide of the county’s previous governor.
Keep off lightweights, jokers, party leader told
Supporters and aides of a political party leader have expressed their misgivings over the kind of politicians that their boss has been engaging with a view to forming an alliance ahead of 2022.
The supporters, who has so far threatened to abandon the man who has once vied for the presidency, accuse their boss of engaging with jokers and political lightweights. They want him to go for the “big boys”.
