Here is what you need to know to get up to speed with today's happenings.

Ruto in Uganda

President William Ruto is set to attend the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, addressing global issues such as multilateralism, international peace, and post-COVID-19 recovery.

Discussions will focus on UN reform, peace, Sustainable Development Goals, climate change, and international financial system reform, under the theme 'Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Affluence.'

President Ruto will also engage in bilateral meetings to strengthen diplomatic ties.

2024 Elimu Scholarship launch

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu will preside over the launch of the 2024 Elimu Scholarship program on Friday, aiming to address obstacles to learners' transition from primary to secondary education.

The Ministry has been implementing the Elimu Scholarship Programme (ESP) under the Kenya Secondary Education Quality Improvement Project (SEQIP) and Kenya Primary Education Equity in Learning Program (KPEELP).

The programme aims to address the impediment to learners’ transition from primary to secondary education and regular attendance to learning sessions.

FKF Premier League

The FKF Premier League's 19th week set for Friday schedule will feature a match between Sofapaka FC Kakamega Homeboyz

The match is slated for Machakos Stadium and will kick off at 3:00 pm.

AFCON

The Africa Cup of Nations continues with Cape Verde vs Mozambique facing off in the early kick-off.

Senegal will take on Cameroon followed by Guinea vs Gambia this Friday.
