Trial of murder suspect Naftali Kinuthia moved to March
Hearing of the case against Naftali Kinuthia, who is accused of killing Moi University medical student Ivy Wangeci, has been adjourned to March 26, next year.
The trial failed to proceed after defence lawyer Mbiyu Kamau asked the court to grant his client time to file a formal application for a plea bargain with the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.

Kinuthia has been at the Eldoret GK Remand Prison since he was arrested eight months ago over the death of his former lover.
“My client has just informed (me) that he wants to enter plea bargain with the DPP,” Kamau told Justice Stephen Githinji.
The lawyer also objected the trial, saying documentary evidence that would be used against his client were supplied to him late.
The prosecution has lined up seven witnesses in the case, including Winfred King’ori, the mother of the slain student.
