Kiambu County Woman Representative Gathoni Wamuchomba has sent a stern warning to contractors undertaking projects in Kiambu County.

The county MP who recently bagged the Vice-Chair Transport, Public Works and Housing Committee position in parliament previously held by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria warned lazing contractors of expulsion.

She regretted that most government projects delay due to a lack of commitment by many contractors.

The legislator revealed that she took the position to support President Kenyatta’s development agenda and which she vowed to pursue with vigor.

She said the president does not want politics and is now focused on delivering on his legacy telling off Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) critics.

“It is time to serve and the president has given us the power to support his endeavor. When the time to politic comes, we will be there and these are the same people who will decide who to give which position,” she said.

Speaking in Gatundu tow, the lawmaker insisted that Jubilee MPs were dethroned because of laxity and failing to pursue Party agendas in parliament.

Wamuchomba scooped the position on Thursday evening after lawmakers held elections to fill departmental committee seats that fell vacant after Jubilee cleansing.
