Azimio la Umoja - One Kenya presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga exuded confidence in winning the case filed at the Supreme Court challenging the declaration of William Ruto as the president-elect.

Odinga while speaking in Kisumu during the swearing-in ceremony of Kisumu governor Prof. Anyang' Nyong'o and his deputy Mathew Owili, noted that they had concrete evidence that would lead to the nullification of Ruto's win.

Speaking in his native Luo language, Odinga said, an ema ne adhi e lueny to agoyo mwanda gi lee ma awinje ee lweta, mwanda pod kithni to odhi tho machiengni "(I am the one who went to war armed with weapons. "I congratulate Nyong'o for his re-election as the governor of the great county of Kisumu. It is a victory that he indeed deserves. I am sure that he will do more and when we take over the national government, we will also support him," he said.

Nyongo retained his seat after garnering 319,957 votes against his predecessor Jack Ranguma of the MDG party who managed 100,600 votes.

In his maiden speech, Nyong said; "I will deliver all my campaign pledges and reach out to my opponents for the betterment of Kisumu."
