Sakaja heaps praise on Speaker Justin Muturi during DP’s National Delegates Conference
Nairobi Senator Johnston Sakaja has described Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi as a forthright man who is full of order.
Sakaja, who is an ardent supporter of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance which is headed by Deputy President William Ruto, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula, attended Muturi's endorsement to fly the flag of Democracy Party as the presidential candidate.
Sakaja in his statement said he attended the endorsement ceremony at Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi as a friend of Muturi.
"Muturi is a very good friend of mine. We have a very long history and even though we are in different political camps, politics is not enmity. Friendship must always go higher than politics in this country," he said.
He said that Muturi is not a one community leader, but one who qualifies to lead all communities in the country going by his discipline and order.
Sakaja upheld that the country requires a total political and behavioral overhaul that will ensure political hopefuls embrace each other irrespective of their different ideologies.
"We have more that unites us than what divides us in this country. Let us change the way we do politics this year. For me, I see no shame in attending this event despite having come from another political outfit," he said.
