ODM leader Raila Odinga is back in the country today from Dubai, where he had travelled on official duties.

During his tour in Dubai, Raila said Kenya’s diverse culture has placed the country at par with other international countries.

The AU Special Envoy for Infrastructure spoke when he visited Kenya’s pavilion at the Dubai 2020 Expo.

He said the move by Kenya to exhibit its products at the expo, which is an international event that takes place every 5 years, is welcome.

“It is an opportunity to showcase what Kenya has to offer to the rest of the world. As they say, if you don’t tell your story, nobody will tell it for you,” Raila said.

The Expo is a world expo, currently hosted by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022.

About 92 countries participated, among them Kenya, with each showcasing their opportunities in their designated pavilions.

The conference brought together high-level officials and Ministers in Infrastructure, Energy, Transport, ICT and Water Sectors as well as Private Sectors companies leading in the Infrastructure sector.

Raila was accompanied by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed.

The ODM leader is scheduled to visit Nyandarua County tomorrow as the battle for the Mount Kenya vote in the 2022 elections intensifies.

Raila is expected to popularize his Azimio la Umoja in Nyandurua on Saturday, November 6 where he will tour Soko Mjinga before proceeding to Fly Over, Kwa Haraka, Njabini, Engineer, Ndunyu Njeru, Miharati, Ol Kalou, Rurii, Kasuku, and then ending with Oljoro roko.
