Ten matches are lined up today and tomorrow in the National Super League as the leading pack battle to solidify their title credentials with those at the bottom keen to ease relegation worries in Match Day 11.

The highlight of today should be the Kibera Black Stars-Shabana FC clash at Camp Toyoyo. The duo’s head-to-head record shows that out of the last six meetings, Kibera Black Stars have won two times and Shabana three with one match ending in a draw.

Despite the statistics, the pair always put on a good show and this match should be no different.

Shabana are currently on a roll after collecting 17 points to sit in position five while the Slum Boys are in a disappointing 13th with a similar number of points.

Both teams dropped points in their last matcha with a loss to Muhoroni Youth and Silibwet Leons respectively.

Meanwhile, a mid-table clash will see 14th-placed Kisumu All-Stars FC in travel to Mbaraki Stadium to face 11th placed Coastal Heroes FC this afternoon.

Kisumu All-Stars and Coastal Heroes have played three games between themselves with All-Stars FC winning all three.

Lately, Heroes have struggled with no win in their past three matches with the Lakeside boys earning only a single point in their last two matches.

In another interesting contest, seventh placed Mombasa Elite FC will meet with Vihiga United in position 12 at Mumias Complex. Both teams dropped points in their last encounters with Elite under Ahmed Mchula losing 0-1 away to Zoo FC while Vihiga drawing 2-2 with newcomers SS Assad at Mbaraki last weekend.

Relegation-threatened

Mombasa Elite on 16 points has faltered in the league race, registering only one win in their last five games. Vihiga United has never lost to the Coastal lads in their past two matches thus the advantage seems to lie with the visiting team. Just like their hosts,Vihiga United have won once in the past five matches.

A rampant Muhoroni Youth on eighth with 15 points will face an inconsistent Silibwet Leons at the Bomet IAAF Stadium. Leons on 11 points are placed 16th on the log and have won only once in the past five matches.

At the weekend, they beat Kisumu All-Stars to save face after a bad run. As for Muhoroni who are returning to the top tier after two seasons out, their 1-0 win at the weekend over Shabana has made them hot property at the moment and they might cause problems away in a bid to close the gap with the leading pack.

In their past five matches, Muhoroni Youth are  yet to lose and have picked 11 points out of a possible 15.

In other matches, lowly Gusii FCplay host to Murang’a Seal on third with the latter hoping to arrest the situation after falling to league leaders APS Bomet 0-1 at the weekend at their St Sebastian Park backyard.

The “Seal Team” are on 19 points, four adrift the top, while Gusii on 15th place have 11 points after holding off second placed Fortune Sacco away at Kianyaga Stadium at the weekend.

Tomorrow Dandora Love FC in ninth place travel to Bomet for a clash with leaders APS Bomet. The James Nandwa-coached side have lost two consecutive matches and should be poised for the challenge on the road against the Administration men.

Elsewhere, relegation-threatened SS Assad welcome in form Zoo FC tomorrow at Mbaraki Stadium. Assad in 19th place have no win in the last five matches and should face an uphill task at home against Herman Iswekha’s Kericho-based side who have an incredible four wins in the last five matches played.
