Mt Kenya tycoons holed up in meeting with Raila Odinga

The Mount Kenya Foundation group is currently holed up in a meeting with Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga at the Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi.
The group, which encompasses business tycoons mostly drawn from the Mt Kenya region, is expected to endorse the candidature of the opposition chief.
The Foundation has in the past months held respective engagements with presidential aspirants and vowed to settle on a single candidate that they would direct their community to coalesce around.
The Wednesday, December 8, 2021 meeting is viewed as the culmination of the string of engagements, and as the official endorsement of Raila as the candidate of choice.
