The FKF Cup quarterfinals are set for April 27 and 28, 2024, at the newly opened Dandora Stadium, which will host high-profile matches for the first time.

This facility, built by the Nairobi County Government, was completed in March 2024 and has already been used for National Super League matches.

The stadium, constructed to FIFA standards with a pitch size of 100m x 64m, features steel structures supporting terraces on both sides.

All stands have seating, with a VIP terrace positioned at the center of the furthest stand. The stadium's construction began during former Governor Mike Sonko's tenure in 2019 and was completed in 2024.

Saturday's doubleheader begins with KCB facing Kakamega Homeboyz at noon, followed by Kenya Police against Sofapaka at 3:00 p.m. Sofapaka's journey to the quarterfinals has been dramatic, involving two penalty shootouts against Silibwet and Bungoma Stars.

Kenya Police, on the other hand, advanced after defeating Posta Rangers and Mombasa Stars. Notably, these teams recently faced off in an FKF Premier League round 27 match, with Kenya Police winning 2-1 after a late comeback.

Sunday's action features SS Assad, a National Super League team, against Kariobangi Sharks, while AFC Leopards take on Compel, an FKF Division One side.

SS Assad secured their quarterfinal spot after a local derby victory over Denmak FC in post-match penalties. AFC Leopards, meanwhile, advanced by defeating Shabana, with a goal from Kayci Odhiambo.

The stakes are high, as teams compete not only for the FKF Cup and the Ksh2 million cash prize but also for the opportunity to represent Kenya in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Dandora Stadium's new status as a premier venue adds excitement and prestige to the quarterfinals of this revered tournament.
